Recommendations to host an Event :

• All Event Locations have a Site Leader, one person to be the contact to answer questions, organize and implement the Event.
• All Event Locations should have public bathrooms.
• All Event Locations should have trash receptacles.
• All event locations have permission or permits to gather (per city guidelines).
• All event locations have a registration/check in table visible for everyone to see, and have a volunteer to be at the table during the event to check in participants.
• All event locations should have basic first aid supplies and one person in charge of calling for help.
• All site leaders are responsible for mailing in any checks (no cash) to NSAM.
• All site leaders will keep good communication with the Event Coordinator.
• Organizations must provide any liability insurance if needed.

Recommendations to have a fun Event :

• *Offer prizes for walking the farthest, or raising the most pledges.
• *Find donations for T-shirts or other items to draw in participants.
• *Music, Costumes, or Themed Events.
